New Tracks!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful winter! While it has been getting colder, I have produced an experimental remix of Chaya Czernowin's brilliant chamber piece, MAIM.  I have also posted a new noise track called The Whisper Field.  There should be more tracks posted before the new year so check back soon!

Zombies!

A few months ago, I produced the soundtrack of the new demo-reel for Pixelfab Studios. The reel has been updated after a recent job they had doing special effects for a zombie film.  With the addition of brain-hungry zombies and people fighting desperately for their lives, the first portion has been transformed into an action-packed bloodbath! You can watch the reel complete with its gory new additions on the Pixelfab Studios website.

Locally Toned

Teresa Foley came to Berlin, and conducted a live recording session for her project, Locally Toned, which she also presented during the workshop. Locally Toned involves recording sounds that relate to specific locations and turning them into ringtones that are available to the public free of charge. I brought along my induction coil and the rewired insides of a CD player, and used them to make my tones. There is a video of the workshop where I pop up between 4:18 and 4:56, though I must say that my favorite part is the short bit at 5.50. Also, I am the proud new owner of the orange Magnus Organ which makes an appearance in the video and on the site. After the workshop, I thought about Teresa's question: What does Berlin sound like?  I came up with a few ideas, and we set out for a day of field recording. You can hear all the tones that we captured on the Locally Toned website, as well as read more detailed information on the Locally Toned blog. I make an appearance in her August 4th, 5th, and 17th blog entries.

I'm very excited to announce the new site for my sounds and projects!  Everything is new so there are still bits to smooth out.

Things to note:

• The tech link will open my tech website in a new tab/window.
• When listening to tracks, make sure to click the drop-down menu to access more track options.  
• In the lower right-hand corner is a contact link. Feel free to send any comments! Also in the lower right-hand corner is a share link, so please help spread the word!

New features will be added as they are developed, so check in every now and then to stay updated and to see what is new!
